“In 1980, Leïla Menchari discovered my work during an exhibition. She then thought up a dream of beaches and of evasions, for her window dressings, and she suggested that I create a sculpture for one of them. The magic of white marble in a surreal interpretation was the point of union of our imaginaries. It was in 1981, in Carrara, that I created this dynamic and voluptuous wave, bearing the launching of the first Eau de Cologne by Hermès.
